THE PAPER MOON PUPPET THEATRE announces the following shows at Acorn Montessori School “Goldilocks & the Three Bears” Saturday, January 31, 2015 Performances at 10:30 and 12:00 Goldilocks and her family are visiting a state park for the weekend when little Goldi, following a bird, wanders off in search of fun. Three very civilized bears that bear a striking resemblance to the Cleaver family in “Leave It To Beaver” are out for a walk when little Goldi comes barreling into their house. Enjoy the fun in this modern day hand puppet retelling of a familiar story, complete with recognizable characters as well as some new ones. Each performance includes an interactive pre-show with marionettes strolling through the audience engaging the children in humorous byplay. “Cinderella” Saturday, February 21, 2015 Performance at 10:30 and 12:30 Cinderella is based on the original tale written by Charles Perrault. The cast of characters includes a befuddled duke, his nemesis, is a perky dog named Frou-Frou, as well as the classic characters: Cinderella, her stepsisters, and a beloved fairy godmother. Beautiful scenery, period costumes and charming music from “Cendrillon” by Jules Massenet complete the experience as the puppets act out this most popular of fairy tales. There is an interactive pre-show with the audience and puppets before the main performance. “PUNCH AND JUDY AND THE THREE LITTLE LAMBS” Saturday, March 7, 2015 Performances at 10:30 and 12:00 Share the fun as the three little lambs, Leroy, Lonnie, and Lizzie foil their old nemesis, Mr. BBW Wolf. Mr. Wolf tries every trick he knows to catch the lambs, including dressing up as Little Bo-Peep. But the lambs are too smart for him. Punch and Judy and their performing dog, Toby, open the show with some fun banter.
