Successful Curricular Modifications In the fall of 2013 several modifications were made to increase students’ achievements. The most successful one was the addition of weekly mini quizzes. These short assessments specifically targeted areas of weaknesses which included verb conjugation and lexical usage. A midterm exam was also added to the assessment repertoire which seemed to have helped with the retention of information. In the spring of 2014, review sessions were offered to students on Fridays from 10am until 2pm. These individualized sessions were very helpful to students.
