Recently,ProfessorCox ledacourseexaminingtheU.S.HealthcareSysteminthePaulMerage SchoolofBusiness.ShecompletedherundergraduateworkatHarvardUniversity,hermedical trainingatTheUniversityofVirginia,andherspecialtytrainingatU.C.I,whereshegraduatedas Seniorresidentoftheyear.ShehasbeenpublishedinJAMA,SouthernCaliforniaPhysician,and contributed overthirty articlestotheonlineparentingmagazineInformedParent. Dr.Cox ispassionateaboutadvancingtreatments,andpromotingthrivorshipforpediatric cancerpatients.Inadditiontoher experiencescaringforchildrenandfamiliesbattlingcancer, Dr.Cox ismotivatedby theexperienceofachildhood cancersurvivor inherownfamily. Alongsideherhusband,Dr.Cox hasworkedwiththenationalnonprofit; TheHope Fundsfor CancerResearch,supporting younginvestigatorsstudyingnovel approachestocancer treatmentanddrugdevelopment.Dr. Cox’songoingprofessionalandpersonalexperiences inform,anddriveherdesiretoadvocatenotonly fornewpediatriconcologicaldevelopments, butthecollaborationrequiredtomakethrivorshipapossibilityforeverychild,everywhere. “G9unitesthefightagainst allpediatric cancers under agolden sailofhope.
