There are many ways to solve a system of equations; three ways are:
Graphing
Substitution
Elimination

A triangle has vertex coordinates of 𝐴 −6, 5 ; 𝐵 9, 10 ; &
𝐶 3, −4 .
 Graph the triangle
 Determine the equations of the lines containing the sides
 Determine the equations of the lines containing the
altitudes (An altitude is a line through a vertex and is
perpendicular to the opposite side)
 Solve a system using two altitude equations to find the
orthocenter
 Verify that the orthocenter coordinates satisfy the
remaining altitude equation
