1. cell wall – gives the plant cell support and shape
2. cell membrane – controls the flow of materials in and out of
the cell
3. mitochondrion – a rod-like structure that helps supply energy
to other parts of the cell
4. vacuole – a fluid-filled sac that stores different materials
5. nucleus – controls cell activities and is surrounded by a
protective tissue that separates it from the rest of the cell
6. chloroplast – contains chlorophyll and is used by a plant to
make food
7. cytoplasm – a jelly-like material that surrounds the nucleus
8. Endoplasmic reticulum – a network of thin tissue that runs
throughout the cytoplasm. It helps move materials to all cell
parts.
9. Ribosome – a small, ball-like particle in the cytoplasm. It
builds proteins needed by the cell
