BIOLOGY EDUCATION POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT Middle Tennessee State University seeks applications for an open rank, tenure-track faculty position in Biology Education starting August 2013. MTSU, with approximately 27,000 students, is located 30 miles southeast of Nashville. Graduate programs supported by the Department of Biology include master’s and doctoral degrees. The successful candidate for this position is expected to teach, lead dissertations in Biology Education, write grants to support Biology Education research, and serve on dissertation committees for MSE PhD candidates. Excellence in teaching, research/creative activity and service is expected for all positions. MTSU seeks candidates committed to using integrative technologies. The MSE doctoral program currently enrolls 38 students with 8 focusing on Biology Education or Biology in an interdisciplinary track. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the growth of this program. Applicants must hold a terminal degree in Biology Education or in Biology with a focus in Biology Educational research by the appointment date.
