Fact Sheet THE PERSEPECTIVE An exquisite, historic hotel reflecting the culture and sophistication of its setting, the Inn and Spa at Loretto is steeped in local traditions and customs. The building itself is the state’s most photographed building due to its architectural homage to the famed Taos Pueblo. Originally built on the site of the Sisters of Loretto girls’ school the Inn houses the world renowned Loretto Chapel which is now a museum. THE LOCATION The Inn and Spa at Loretto sits at the end of the historical Old Santa Fe Trail. The Inn is ideally located just one block from the Plaza, steps from Canyon Road, museums, boutiques, shops, and restaurants. Views from the guestrooms include the breathtaking Sangre de Cristo Mountains, Saint Francis Basilica, the Loretto Chapel, the Cross of the Martyrs, and of course, the heart of the city. THE DESIGN The Inn and Spa at Loretto embodies the culture of the region, utilizing adobe-style architecture, and reflecting the true spirit and history of Santa Fe. A palette adorned with the work of local artisans, completes the soulfully elegant retreat. ACCOMMODATIONS 136 fully appointed guest rooms, including five specialty suites (ranging from 300 to 700 square feet) and Santa Fe’s only Penthouse featuring a luxury two-story suite with over 2,800 square feet of indoor and outdoor space. The Inn's accommodations are all styled in sophisticated Santa Fe elegance, appointed with symbolic hues of deep terracotta red, Navajo gold, black and white commonly used in Anasazi pottery and blankets. Layered zigzags of lightning bolts are portrayed throughout the room's décor signifying the power of Father Sky reaching down to recharge Mother Earth. Soft lighting and flickering candles provide a welcoming ambiance that cast telling shadows of a time when the sun and fire were the only sources of light. The ultra-chic and spacious two-story Penthouse is a masterpiece of timeless form and contemporary function. Featuring a full kitchen, library, dramatic spiral staircase, and a woodburning fireplace; the Penthouse reigns as the premier lodging choice in all of Santa Fe. In addition, five intimate balconies overlook stunning views of the famed Loretto Chapel, renowned Old Santa Fe Trail, the Historic Plaza, and an array of breathtaking mountain vistas. Updated by Zimmer Associates in 2013, the new design retains the original spirit of quintessential Santa Fe, but incorporates a sense of contemporary style, creating a vision of high elegance that promises the most magnificent views of Santa Fe.
