Systems of Equations and Inequalities GAP
Solution of a system of equation is where both of Solving Systems using Polysmlt2
Calculator Steps:
the lines intersect or cross.
1) Make sure that both equations are in
standard form: Ax  By  C
2) On the calculator, press the APPS BUTTON
3) Select #4 - Plysmlt2

button that us under the word NEXT
6) Enter the coefficients for each equation
(Remember – coefficients are the numbers in
front of the variable. You must hit enter after
each number.
7) To find the solution, hit GRAPH under where it
says solve to get your solution.

3. Karen makes $5 per hour baby-sitting and $12
per hour giving music lessons. One weekend,
she worked a total of 18 hours and made $139.
How many hours did she spend baby-sitting?
4. The difference in cost between a large bag of
chips and a small bag of chips was 90₵. Alicia

Which is most likely the solution to the system of
equations shown in the graph?
7. For which system of inequalities is (-3,1) a
solution?
8. Look at the system of equations.
What is the x for the solution to this system of
equations?
9. A total of 243 adults and children are at a movie
theater. There are 109 more adults than children
in the theater. If a represents the number of
adults and b represents the number of children,
which system of equations could be used to find
the number of adutls and the number of children
in the theater?
10. During a sale, an automobile dealer sold 69 cars
and trucks. If she sold 27 more cars than trucks,
how many of each did she sell?
F 48 cars, 21 trucks
G 45 cars, 24 trucks
H 42 cars, 27 trucks
J 35 cars, 34 trucks

12. A system of inequalities is shown.
From the given points, select each point that is a
solution to this system of inequalities.
