Rock Cycle Game Advance Preparation: Set up classroom with 5 stations. Place the appropriate station card and the corresponding game cube at each station. During class: 1. Distribute the handout: Journey through the Rock Cycle. 2. Tell students that they are going to experience what it is like to be a rock going through the rock cycle. 3. Instruct students to use the information they learned in the Building Rocks activity to decide which type of rock they are. 4. Number the students 1-5, repeat as needed. 5. Ask students to move to the station that matches their number. 6. Instruct the students to answer question #1 when they get to their station (the station name and the beginning rock are listed on the station card). 7. Remind students to fill out the handout as they move through the stations.
