Senior Project Manager (6-month contract)

Customers through an outstanding shopping experience. With our Home Office located in Winnipeg, Manitoba,
our team is over 2200 strong! We own and operate 38 Retail Stores from coast to coast and support our stores
through 2 distribution centers located in Winnipeg, MB and Milton, ON. In addition, we are building a strong
business in E-commerce with the addition of a dedicated E-commerce Fulfillment Centre.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Vice President of IT & Strategic Projects, the Senior Project Manager will act as the subject
matter expert in project management and act as a trusted advisor to our Executive Leadership Team. The is a key
leadership role responsible for leading large, complex and highly cross-functional projects that have visibility up to
and including our Board of Advisors.
The Successful Candidate
As the successful candidate, you are PMP certified and have 10+ years’ experience in project management, project
portfolio management and/or line management of major business transformation. You bring significant experience
successfully managing large (>1 year, > $5M) complex projects consisting of different subject areas such as
information technology, construction and logistics.
In addition to a solid understanding of PMBOK, you are familiar with project management approaches, tools and
project life cycle phases and are able to utilize and apply various project management tools. As a senior
professional, you understand business priorities, challenges and direction to drive change and desired outcomes.
Lastly, you are a strategic thinker with effective decision-making abilities and possess strong analytical skills
required to identify problems, resolve issues, evaluate possible solutions and gain consensus. You possess
excellent organization and project/time management skills with an ability to balance and manage competing
priorities, multiple interests and tight timelines. You demonstrate ownership, both individual and shared, to
achieve project and business goals and are able to adapt quickly to a changing environment and a strong resilience
to overcome challenges.
Working Conditions
Evening and weekend work may be required to meet project deadlines. Regular out of province travel to project
sites will be required.
