He it is who has raised among the unlettered people a messenger from among themselves who recites unto them His signs, and purifies them, and
teaches them the Book and wisdom, although
they had been, before, in manifest misguidance.

Know your faith
There is none worthy of worship except Allah and
Muhammad saw is the messenger of Allah
“
We do believe that there is none worthy of worship except God
Almighty and Sayyedna (our chief) Hadhrat Muhammad, the
Chosen One, peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, is His
Messenger and the Khatamul-Anbiya. We believe that angels
are a reality, that Resurrection is a reality, and that the Day of
Judgement is a reality; that Heaven is a reality and so is Hell.
All of them believe in Allah, and in His angels, and in
His Books, and in His Messengers, saying, ‘We make
no distinction between any of His Messengers;
Surah Al Baqarah Verse 286
We do believe that whatever the Glorious and Majestic God
has stated in the Holy Qur’an and what ever our Prophet,
peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, has stated, is all
according to the aforementioned statement, the truth. We
do believe that the person who subtracts an iota from the Islamic law or adds to it as much, or lays the foundation in any
manner for the rejection of Islamic injunction or attempts to
declare unlawful what has been lawful in Islam, is an infidel
and a renegade to Islam. We admonish our Jama’at that they
must adhere tenaciously to the fundamental article of faith
that ‘La illaha illallaho Mohammadur Rasoolullah’ ‘There is
no God but Allah, Muhammad is His Messenger’. As long as
they live and they should die holding fast to the same belief.

Our Beloved Huzooraba
What is the purpose of the coming of
the Promised Messiah (as) and why is
it necessary that we much accept him
and attest to the truth of his claim?
For this, I thought it best to express
the answer in the words of the Promised Messiah (as) himself.
The Promised Messiah (as) says:
“I have been sent so that I may reestablish the lost glory of the Holy
Prophet Muhammad (sa) and show
to the world the truths contained in
the Holy Quran and all this is being
done but those whose eyes are covered
in a veil cannot see this even though
this Movement has become manifest
and shines forth like the Sun and so
many people are witness to the signs
and miracles shown in support of this
Movement that if they all be gathered
in one place, their numbers would be
so many as would outnumber the largest army of any king on the face of the
Earth.”
Messiah (as). The way in
which the Promised Messiah (as) laid out the greatness of the Holy Prophet
(saw) and clarified and
laid bare the truths of the
Holy Quran in his time in
his writings and discourses - that is continuing to
be done even today. I have
recounted frequently how
when people are told these
truths they feel obliged
to speak up and confirm
that indeed these are great
things and if indeed this is
the Holy Example and Life
of the Holy Prophet and
his teachings then we were
indeed in the wrong.
I have previously given
the example of a great Canadian opponent of Islam
who had also printed the
Danish cartoons of the
Holy Prophet in his magazine, newspaper. This time
when he heard my presentation and learnt about
the beautiful teachings of
Islam, he felt obliged to
write in his newspaper that
after hearing the Imam of
the Ahmadiyya Muslim
Jama’at he had now realized the truth. And then he
went on to accept and acknowledge his error.
Similarly, I had told everyone in my previous Khutba
that in America a very well
known American politi-
The Promised Messiah (as) goes on to
say that, “there are so many aspects
that may be laid forth in support of the
truth of this Movement that it is not
easy to be able to mention all of them.
Because Islam was defamed in such
a brutal and callous way, so God Almighty has manifested the greatness
and honor of this Movement in direct
proportion to the extreme defamation
that was perpetrated against Islam.”
Now this is not something that was
confined to the time of the Promised

cian had denigrated Islam on his radio program
with particular reference
to Jumu’ah and his radio
show has a very large audience that runs into the
hundreds of thousands.
Upon this an Ahmadi
young man of ours wrote
an article expounding the
true teachings of Islam regarding the importance of
Jumu’ah and this got posted on their website.
Then this politician was
written a letter and he was
told that what he had said
was wrong and this man
is, as I said, a very well
known and popular politician, and he was asked to
give us time on his own radio show and this he did.
This was, without a doubt,
a reflection of his good nature.
So an Ahmadi young man
of ours went on this program and by the Grace of
Allah presented the true
teachings about Jumu’ah
and the Holy Quran and
after hearing these things
he admitted his error and
this program also was listened to by hundreds of
thousands of people.
And they all also acknowledge that it is through the
Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat that they learn all
these true teachings of
Islam. And all this is happening and possible because of the truths that
the Promised Messiah (as)
disclosed to us and laid
out before us and it was
for this purpose that Allah,
the Exalted, had sent him
into the world - so that
he may make clear to the
world the lofty status of
the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) and disclose to
everyone the truths laid
out in the Holy Quran.
So this is exactly what is
happening through the
Promised Messiah (as)
and exactly as he had said,
the greatness of the Holy
Prophet and the truths of
the Holy Quran and the
beauties of Islam are being
established in the world
through his efforts and
the things he disclosed to
the world. So there is no
reason why we should be
victims to any kind of inferiority complex whatsoever and the young of our
Jama’at need have no fear
of anyone and should have
courage. Wherever the
Jama’at’s young are active
they are able to shut the
mouths of all who try to
defame Islam or its Holy
Founder or Holy Book.

Prophetsaw did not only mention that the Messiah will come but he
commanded us to believe in him and do his bait at whatever price
we may have to pay. He sawid: “When you see him (Imam Mahdi)
then certainly perform bait to him even if you have to crawl over
your knees through the mountains of snow because he (Imam Mahdi) will be the Khalifa of God”. So it becomes the duty of every single
person to accept the Promised Messiahas under the command of the
Holy Quran and the Holy Prophetsaw.
A Grand Prophecy
A companion of The Holy
Prophetsaw relates: “One day
we were sitting with The
Holy Prophetsaww when this
chapter was revealed. I enquired from Hadhrat Muhammadsaw. Who are the
people to whom the words
and among others of them
who have not yet joined them
refer? Hadhrat Salmanra, a
Persian was sitting among
us. The Holy Prophetsaw put
his hand on Sawlmanra and
sawid. If faith were to go up
to the Pleiades, a man from
among these would surely
find it.”
So what was the Holy Prophetsaw referring to when he
spoke of a group of people.
He meant that when people
would start to misinterpret
Islam and the followers of
the faith of Islam would
start to become astray a man
would be sent by Allah the
Exalted to bring the true Is-
lam back to the people. What
is also interesting is that the
Holy Prophetsaw put his hand
on the shoulder of Hadhrat
Suleman Farsira who was a
Persian meaning that the
man who would bring Islam
back would be of Persian
descent. And we find the
Promised Messiahas’s forefathers to be from Persia.
So 1400 years ago the Holy
Prophetsaw had already given
the Muslim Ummah the glad
tidings that when the followers of Islam begin to deteriorate the teachings of Islam
a man from Allah, the Messiah will come and revive the
faith. That is why we as Ahmadi’s believe Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas will be
the Promised Messiahas. The
sawme man whose advent
was promised by Allah the
Almighty in the Holy Quran.
Furthermore,
the
The Pleiades is an open star cluster in the night sky
which is approximately 400 light years away from earth.
When the Holy Prophetsaw reffered to Islam going up the
the Pleiades he didn’t literally mean that the religion of
Islam would rise up to the stars. But what he meant was
that the true teachings of Islam would be as if they are
no longer on Earth. This would be the time for the appearence of the Promised Messiahas.

Hazrat Ali
ra
Hadrat Ali ra was the son of the Holy Prophet’s saww
uncle, Abu Talib. He was born in Mecca about twenty
years after the birth of the Holy Prophet saww. When
Hadrat Ali ra was born, the Holy Prophet saww himself became his guardian, as his father’s financial position was very weak.
When Hadhrat Alira was ten years old he saww the
Holy Prophetsaw and Hadhrat Khadijahra praying.
They devotion of the Holy Prophetsaw to his prayers
ra
very much impressed Hadhrat Ali
. When he insaw
quired the Holy Prophet as to what he was doing,
the Holy Prophetsaw explained the way of the islamic
prayers. When Hadhrat Ali was informed of this he
embraced Islam and became the first child to enter
the fold of the faith.
When the Meccan opponenets came to murder the
Holy Prophetsaww it was Hadhrat Alira who took the
place of the Holy Prophetsaww in his bed so that our
beloved mastersaww could migrate to Medina.
Hadrat Alira was a brave Muslim warrior. His valour
in battles was known by all Muslims and will always
be remembered.
After the demise of Hadhrat Uthmanra Hadhrat Alira
was elected as the fourth Khalifa of Islam. He had
to face many difficulties during his Khilafat but did
so bravely and always following the commands laid
down byt he Holy Prophetsaww. He was martyred
on 20th Ramadan, 40 Hijri. He was among the ten
people to whom the Holy Prophetsaww had given the
gla tidings that they would be rewarded heaven in
the hereafter, the Ashra Mubashira. He was the final
khalifa of the Khulafa-e-Rashideen.

It had been 1400 years
since the prophecy of the
Messiah. Muslims were
anticipating the advent
of this promised man
who would come and reform the entire Muslim
Ummah and furthermore would unite all humanity under the banner
of Islam. The beautiful
teachings of Islam had
been corrupted by the ignorant. A well renowned
poet Maulana Altaf Hussawin Hali wrote a very
famous couplet during
these dark times:
“Nor Religion nor Islam
remains,
What remains is only the
name of Islam”
Hence the conditions of
the time resembled exactly what the Holy Prophetsaw
had mentioned in his
prophecy. Therefore, the
time for the advent of the
Promised Messiahas was
due. Allah the Almighty
being ever Merciful and
Gracious to his servants
blessed manking by sending Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmadas of Qadian
as the Promised Messiah.
You are fortunate to be
among those who taken bait of the Promised
Messiahas and you are
fortunate to have obeyed
the command of the Holy
Prophetsaw to take bait of
the Promised Reformer.
So why are we Ahmadis?
Because you and I have
been immensely blessed
as we have accepted the
Promised Messiahas to be
the sawme man whose
advent was foretold by
the Holy Prophetsaw.

Incidents from life of The Holy Prophetsaw
The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), throughout his life, had to encounter a succession of bitter experiences. After
marriage, he had to bear the loss of several children one after the other,
and then his beloved and devoted wife Khadija died. Some of the wives
he married after Khadija’s death, died during his lifetime. Towards the
close of his life he had to bear the loss of his son Abraham. He bore all
these losses and calamities calmly, and none of them affected him in the
least degree.
On one occasion he observed a woman who had lost
a child occupied in loud mourning over
her child’s grave. He admonished her to be patient
and to accept God’s will as supreme. The woman
did not know that she was being addressed by the
Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon
him) and she said to the Prophet, “If you had ever
suffered the loss of a child as I have, you would have
realized how difficult it is to be patient under such
an affliction.” The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “I have suffered the
loss not of one but of seven children,” and passed
on.
He was always very patient in hardship
and suffering. He was never discouraged
by adverse circumstances nor did he
permit any personal desire to get a hold
over him. His father had died before his
birth and his mother died while he was
still a little child. Up to the age of eight,
he was in the supervision of his grandfather and then at his death he was taken
care of by his uncle, Abu Talib. That was
a very hard time for him but he always
behaved in a dignified manner.
