INTRODUCTION
• An important city of Macedonia,
commercially, politically, and historically.
• Philip of Macedonia, Alexander the Great,
great Grecian philosophers made history in
this city.
• Much history and progress and spread of
Christianity centers around the Philippian
church.
• First to be planted on the continent of
Europe.
