upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?

Have You not made a hedge around him, around his
household, and around all that he has on every side? You have
blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased
in the land.

But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has,
and he will surely curse You to Your face!

fast to his integrity, although you incited Me against him, to destroy

Satan answered the LORD saying, Skin for skin! Yes, all that
a man has he will give for his life.

But stretch out Your hand now, and touch his bone and his
flesh, and he will surely curse You to Your face!

The LORD said to Satan, Behold, he is in your hand, but
spare his life.

OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. (NKJ)

In those days and at that time I will cause to grow up to David a
Branch of righteousness; he shall execute judgment and
righteousness in the earth.

WHAT DID THIS STONE SIGNIFY?

Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men,
but chosen by God and precious,

you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual
house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable
to God through Jesus Christ.

Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture, Behold, I lay
in Zion a chief cornerstone, elect, precious, and he who believes on
Him will by no means be put to shame.

Therefore, to you who believe, He is precious; but to those
who are disobedient, The stone which the builders rejected has
become the chief cornerstone,

In whom you also are being built together for a dwelling
place of God in the Spirit.
