AZAcomp
- Registered in 1954 in California, the compound was first
used shortly after WWII in pit latrines.
- The mixture of the various components in the compound
was perfected over a span of 20 years through research
using on-site lagoon trials, since laboratory trials do not
accurately enough mimic ‘real-life’ situations in all settings.
- AZAcomp has successfully treated municipal and
agricultural lagoon systems for over 30 years in Canada.
AZAcomp
- It is a very potent compound used in waste remediation
which is non-toxic, non-chemical and non-caustic.
- It contains a combination of aerobic, anaerobic and
facultative anaerobic microbes, enzymes, and other
complementary active ingredients.
- It will increase the capacity of an existing system
eliminating the need for costly facility expansion, or
manual removal.
AZAcomp
- It eliminates the necessity of expensive mechanical
equipment. Simple to use, it requires very little expertise
for applications and reduces management requirements.
- It specifically targets the biodegradable organic
components of effluent. It will not decompose components
such as plastics, metals, or clothing, nor will it harm pipes,
fixtures, or surfaces in any setting.
AZAcomp
- Using chemicals in waste remediation often arises after
blockages occur. Often the chemicals become diluted
and ineffective where they are needed the most. The use
of AZAcomp will avoid effluent blockages throughout the
entire septic system.
- Due to its anaerobic action, the compound will incubate in
underground pipes/lines to reduce sludge build-up within
the entire septic system.

AZAcomp
- All microbes and enzymes are USDA approved, and
are tested Salmonella and E.coli free.
- The microbial cultures contained in the compounds are
non-pathogenic.
- These microbes and enzymes are ideally suited to
thrive on sewage and wastewater of an organic nature.
- Once their nutrient source (sewage) is depleted, the
microbes and enzymes die off.
Riverview Colony’s secondary lagoon in Chester, Mt, USA, who have a 100 cow
dairy, along with a large hog & chickens operation. They are long time users of
AZAcomp.
AZAcomp
- Using AZAcomp, the decomposition rate is enormously greater
then the rate at which the microbes normally found in the
wastewater can decompose the effluent.
- Enzymes, while not actually living entities, are essential biochemical catalysts required for all metabolic processes in
nature.
- Enzymes are highly specialized and have the ability to break
compounds down into their components parts.
AZAcomp
- Substantially reduces the populations of harmful
bacteria found in wastewater systems as the microbes
present in AZAcomp are exponentially more active than
microbes normally present in effluent lagoons.
- The treated wastewater, can be spread onto agricultural
land reducing soil contamination issues. Long time
users have found that their soil quality has been greatly
enhanced.
AZAcomp
- Microbes are naturally occurring recycling intermediaries.
Together with their enzymes, they decompose organic matter
within a liquid environment into their base components with
these components then bio-available for other uses.
- Microbes and enzymes are completely biodegradable and both
are restricted by the availability of a favorable environment, e.g.
temperature, pH, nutrient source, antibacterial agents in the
aqueous solution.
AZAcomp
Using AZAcomp, organic waste is converted into
four main components:
- Water
- Nitrogen
- Bio-gas, predominantly clean methane gas
- Micro-nutrients

southern SK, Canada. Users of AZAcomp. for 10 years.
AZAcomp
Beneficial by-products and complimentary action obtainable
through AZAcomp’s use:
- Clean methane for use in heating and electricity
is created by the reduction/elimination of hydrogen
sulphide gas.
- A high quality micro-nutrient fertilizer (which is easily
absorbed by plants) is left over from the decomposed
sludge.
AZAcomp
- Greatly reduces odours associated with wastewater.
- Creates recycled non-potable water for use in irrigation
etc.
- Water can be released into waterways, or lakes with no
contamination issues once fully treated as per our
recommendations.

the grid.
AZAcomp
Used for wastewater treatment & septic systems in:
- Municipal (both lagoons and digesters)
- Agricultural i.e. cattle, hog, poultry
- Food processing
- Commercial i.e. restaurants, abattoirs, hotels, camps
- Institutions i.e. hospitals, schools, etc.
- Residential
AZAcomp
This is the testimonial from a large livestock producer in
Southern Saskatchewan, dated November 4, 2008.
“Before we used ‘AZAcomp’ we had to use four agitators to mix
the solids up enough to be able to pump them out of the lagoon.
After one year of using ‘AZAcomp’ we only had to use one
agitator to do the same job.
We have used this product for about 13 years and have never
had to clean out or agitate our primary lagoon. We use all the
liquid for fertilizer and have never had a soil problem. In fact, on
the land where we used the ‘AZAcomp’ treated manure, our
yields were approximately eighteen bushels more than fields
treated with commercial fertilizer. Four years after use we could
still see better yields.”
The OK Colony’s lagoon had 7-8 feet of solid sludge build up in April 2008.
This picture, taken in May 2009, shows the results after using AZAcomp. for
one year. Magrath AB, Canada.

Lab results from the Town of Outlook, SK. Canada
- Analysis report from a lagoon discharge sample
taken in April of 2007, and a final effluent sample
taken in September of 2007.
- BOD level decreased from 16.6 to <2 mg/L
- MPN total coliform decreased from 2014 to 323
orgs/100ml
- MPN E.coli decreased from 644 to <10 orgs/100ml
AZAcomp
- Many factors influence dosage rates such as the effluent
retention time in lagoons, the severity of the sludge
build-up, chemical loads in the wastewater, the
effluent/water ratio, and ambient temperatures.
- Chronic effluent problems require dosing at much higher
rates initially than maintenance programs, until acceptable
water quality is achieved.
- Applications must be made on a regular and consistent
basis.
AZAcomp
- Water management, including wastewater treatment,
are rapidly becoming critical issues world-wide.
- Using AZAcomp provides a simple, all-natural,
and cost effective way to treat wastewater, at a time
when governments and industries alike are looking
for ways to reduce expenses, and lessen man’s
footprint on the environment.
