History:
SS8H3 The student will analyze the role of Georgia
in the American Revolution.
b. Analyze the significance of people and events in
Georgia on the Revolutionary War; include
Loyalists, patriots, Elijah Clarke, Austin Dabney,
Nancy Hart, Button Gwinnett, Lyman Hall, George
Walton, Battle of Kettle Creek, and siege of
Savannah.
Mission #1 Report from Kettle Creek
1. Using your resources, find Kettle Creek and go
there quickly.
2. Once at the Battle give an in depth report on
what you see, including
a. Description of setting, date, commanding officers
and number of troops.
b. How did the battle start, summary of military action,
who won.
c. Significance of battle.
d. Map of battle.
e. A cover with appropriate title and illustration.

1. You are needed as a soldier at Savannah. Using
your resources, go there quickly.
2. Your uncle, William Burnett, a member of the
Continental Congress, has requested you to write

and conditions of this battle.
b. Who were the commanding officers?
c. Summary of military action and who won.
d. Significance of battle.
