WEB browser configuration
When we install NNM on a management station running with a UNIX operating system, a web server is
installed. The web server uses 8880 for communication. The client station must have an supported web browser
running.
To create login accounts for web link do the following steps:
1) $OV_BIN/ovhtpasswd <username>
2) Type password for the particular user to sign in.
3) Re-type the password for authentication.
The password files are located in
/etc/opt/OV/share/www/etc/htpasswd.
SESSION CONFIGURATION FILE
The default is for the session configuration file to disable security. If the security mechanisms are disabled in this file,
users will not be presented with a login screen, and will have access to all registered actions
The session configuration file is located on the management station at:
etc/opt/OV/share/www/conf/session.conf
The session configuration file has the following format:
1)UserLogin: on|off <-- Set this one to on
2)LoginLogging: on|off <-- Set this to on
3)AccessLogging: on|off <-- Set this to on
4)SessionTimeout: hours
By default the values are off for the first three, and 9 hours for the session time out. Time should be specified in
integer values.
User authorization file
Users may be assigned to any number of groups for authorization purposes. These user groups are called user
roles in NNM. The user roles file is located on the management station at:
/etc/opt/OV/share/www/etc/htgroup
Audit log files
There are two audit log files –one for log in logins and one for log in URL access from the launcher.
The files are located on the management station at :/var/opt/OV/www/logs/launch/login_log (login log)
/var/opt/OV/www/logs/launcher/access_log (access log)
Configuring the launcher
There are several files you need to customize for the launcher.
1) Launcher registration
2) Error log file
3) Installed locale file.
4) Java parameters file.
Launcher Registration File
The WLRF files are located on the management station at:/etc/opt/OV/share/www/registration/launcher/$LANG
The bitmaps referenced in WLRF are located on the management station at:/opt/OV/share/www/htdocs/$LANG/bitmaps
After modifying the WLRF file we can check the errors with the command regverify (opt/OV/bin).
