FEB-UB its first double degree students
A ceremony of Graduation Period V Academic Year 2011/2012 was held on Saturday (21/4),
in the Basement of Building E Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Brawijaya
(FEB-UB). A number of undergraduate and post graduate students of FEB officially get their
new educational title.
It has become a tradition for FEB-UB to give award to achieving student with the title of Best
Thesis and Cumlaude in every period of graduation. The Best Thesis Award is given to:
Agus Triyono, SE with the title of "The Effect of Foreign Loan, Domestic Investment, and
Trade Openness on Economic Growth in Indonesia Period 1970-2009 (Guiding Lecturer,
Putu Mahardika AS, SE,.M.Si.,MA.,PhD), Sarah Claudia, SE with the title of "The Effect of
behaviour, Subjective Norms, and Control Perception on the Interest of Consume to Buy
Fashion Goods through the features of GR, Blackberry Messengger Study on Strata 1
Students of Universitas Brawijaya" (Guiding Lecturer, Dr Fatchur Rohman, SE.,Msi) and
Dara Puspitaningrum, SE with the title of "The Effect of Corporate Governance Mechanism
on the Voluntary Disclosure of Internet Financial Reporting (IFR) Study on the Corporation
Registered in Indonesian Stock Exchange (Guiding Lecturer, Sari Atmini, SE.,M.Si.,Ak).
While the award of Cumlaude predicate is given to the student of every level of education
(S1, S2 and S3). The students who received Cumlaude on undergraduate: S1-Development
Economics with 19 graduates,with highest GPA achieved by Agus Triyono, SE (GPA 3,87),
S1-Management with 22 graduates with highest GPA achieved by Gusti Made Diah
Yuliantari, SE (GPA 3,88), and S1-Accounting with 11 graduates with highest GPA achieved
by Dara Puspitaningrum, SE (GPA 3,90); Students who received Cumlaude on Master
Education: Master of Management, Risca Fitri Ayuni, SE.,MM.,MBA (GPA 3,79), Johannes
Punky, STP.,MM (GPA 3,71), and Agung Nugroho Adi, SE.,MM.,MBA (GPA 3,71); Students
who received Cumlaude Predicate on Doctoral Education: Doctor of Management Science
Dr. Unggul Heriqbaidi, SE.,M.Si.,M.App.,Ac (GPA 4,00); Doctor of Accounting Science, Dr
Zaki Baridwan, SE.,M.Si.,Ak (GPA 3,85).
On the same event, two graduates from Double Degree program are also graduated with
188 other graduates of FEB UB. The two graduates who are the first generation from the
program in cooperation with foreign education institution are Risca Fitri Ayuni, SE.,MM.,MBA
(Master of Management FEB UB - Master of Business Administration, National Chiayi
University, Taiwan) and Agung Nugroho Adi, SE.,MM.,MBA (Master of Management FEB
UB - Master of Business Administration, Burapha University, Thailand). The two are
graduated with Cumlaude title. "FEB UB has several double degree cooperation, for
Undergraduate and Master S2 with foreign universities. And today one of the programs has
its first graduates", as said by the Dean of FEB UB, Gugus Irianto, SE.,MSA.,PhD.,Ak.
The Dean said that on April, FEB-UB accepted 3 visits from Higher Education National
Accreditation Body (BAN-PT) who perform accreditation process for Master Program of
Accounting, Master of Economics Science and Doctoral Program of Accounting. "Sometimes
ago we have just achieved an accreditation from an international accreditation institution The
Alliance on Business Education and Scholarship for Tomorrow, a 21st Century Education
(ABEST21). It is expected that the accreditation of the three programs also create a
satisfying result," as said by the Dean to the graduates and guests. The Dean also
congratulates the graduates and expects that they would keep the good relation and could
