Protecting Existing Residential Area Policies from previous housing element: Policy Jurisdiction Policy H (A-1): Protect the character of existing residential neighborhoods. Responsible Agency: Community Development Department and City Millbrae (1.9) The City shall maximize opportunities for residential development, including through infill and redevelopment of underutilized sites, without impacting existing neighborhoods or creating conflicts with industrial South San Francisco (1.15) The City shall ensure that new development promotes quality design and harmonizes with existing neighborhood surroundings.
