Site Manager Feb 2006 – Nov 2008
Managed, monitored and directed construction activities (over the piles cast in situ and
stancians foundation) according to design and specification. Ensured quality and completion
within budget and specified time and safety control. Examined plans, checked design for flaws
and submission of RFIs. Participation in weekly and monthly progress review meetings.

Milton Keynes High School construction (#55M GB Pound completed in 1 ½ Year),
On this project 2 types of coordinates system were used by the architect. For the main
building plain Grid coordinates system was used while for parking area and roads
topographic coordinates (having scale factor) was used. On very first day on site I find
out this problem which could have caused wrong oriented set out of main building. It was
brought to the knowledge of architect and project manager. Then I transform the
coordinates of all control points to one (grid) system in one day. It eliminated the chance
of wrong oriented building layout and construction and project completed smoothly on
time.

Maldon Primary School Extension Project (#5M GB Pound completed in 8 months).
During the foundation excavation for extension a spring was discovered at 3 meter
depth. I stopped the excavation so that the existing building should not collapse and
suggested that 4 M sheet piles should be driven in at 1,5 M distance from the existing
wall of existing building to avoid collapse. The safety engineer and architect inspected
the site; they appreciated and accepted my suggestion. It worked out well, the
excavation was resumed and projected completed timely.


The design was flawless and construction was completed smoootly on time.

Worked on various projects as site engineer construction supervision, established control points,
setting out piles positions, horizontal & vertical reference line for construction, checking of
construction drawings for design accuracy, staking property alignments, quantities calculation,
conducted survey; topographic and as built and prepared CAD drawings, transformation of
topographic coordinates to grid coordinates for easy staking. Used multi type/brands’ total
stations including robotic, GPS static and RTK survey, underground utility detection / scanning

PHLC Consultants was joint venture of 5 highly qualified and experienced firms, get together
for the large irrigation development project amounting to Pak Rs. 6,521 million ($145M), in the
North West Frontier Province (Now called Khyber Pakhtoon Khawa) of Pakistan. This project
was funded by Asian Development Bank. The project was comprised of following components:
 Construction of 25 km long parabolic canal of 100 cusecs capacity with automatic flow
controlled gates.
 Construction of 2 tunnels, 1.2 km surface tunnel and 5 km underground excavation
tunnel, constructed through 2 shafts; one 8 meter and 2nd 35 meter.
 Construction of remodeling of existing canal system.
 Conversion of watercourses into new minors.
 Remodeling of major and minor natural drains (streams).
 Provision of pined irrigation system in Topi Area.
Resident Engineer/Survey Chief Jun 1998 – Mar 2001
Monitored construction activities on 6 main components of this contract awarded to 3
contractors; 1 Turkish Contractor by the name “STFA”, and 2 Pakistani contractors, one “Khyber
Grace” and second “M Sarwar”. Establish the control points for tunnels and canal excavation for
horizontal and vertical setting out. Ensured construction is as per design and specification,
verified quantities and bill for payment. Managed excavation of Surface tunnel conducted from
both ends and got its centerline matched in 1 mm accuracy and the other 5KM tunnel excavated
through 8 M diameter shafts of 8M and 35M depth was got matched to the existing portal of
tunnel in 7mm deviation from centerline in 5 km distance.

Junior Engineer / Chief Surveyor / Project Engineer
Worked on GAADP and Tribal Area Development Projects. During 5 yrs on USAID role
designed 200 miles road various roads in mountainous terrain, upgrade existing roads
geometry and grade, supervised the construction of BHUs, primary schools, irrigation
channels, water supply schemes, inspected electric lines, educated community leaders on
construction standards and techniques to raise their life style. Conducted training to line
agencies’ staff on surveying, road design and quality assurance.
The project area was very backward and lacking jobs opportunities. To create jobs for the
inhabitants of the area an industrial estate was proposed. The drawings produced by a hired
engineering firm were given to me and I found them fake and fabricated as they were produced
with survey on site. My PM give this task to me to do and I supervise and planned 0 to finish
level. I established control points, directed assigned 4 surveyors for survey the site and 3
draftsmen prepare drawings. I planned and designed partition of plats, roads, drain, and utility
lines. The survey / drawings and planning, earth work quantities of its roads / drainage line and
side drains of 200 acres industrial estate including preparation of PC1 and tender documents
was completed in a record time of 1 month. My services were admired, appreciated and I was
awarded with cash prize and performance certificate.
Doxiadis, Jeddah Saudi Arabia Jan 1982 to Dec 1982
Consultants for improvement and beautification of Jeddah.
In the capacity of Roads’ Design Engineer worked on Jeddah Jadeed Development Project. I
prepared digital geometric design of all roads of Jeddah Jadeed Project in Jeddah Saudi Arabia
in 1982. Additionally I design 5 KM road along the Cornish from Jeddah Municipality Office as
part of improvement and beautification of Jeddah.
