Seven million euros
for the company for
production of sleepers

company Margariteli from
Perugia have signed agreement
on setting up the company for
production of concrete railway
sleepers , which includes
investment of seven million euros
and 60 new jobs. New idustrial
plant will be constructed on "the
most logical location" in Kosjerić.
Namely, the cement factory
Titan is located in this town,
and cement is the basic material,
in addition to steel
reinforcement, for production of
railway sleepers. Annual capacity
of the new factory is 150,000
railway sleepers. It is planned to
construct all necessary facilities
till the end of this year, from
buildings-workrooms, up to
complete infrastructure, so that
equipment could be installed and
technology and output could be
tested in January and February
2012. This project was started
after professional analyses which
showed that production of
concrete sleepers will rise in the
next 15 years for 50 percent at
global level. Municipality of
Kosjerić je has provided two
hectares of construction land as
its contribution, where
production and administration
facilities will be constructed, with
expectation that the initial 60
employees will be mostly
workers from this region, namely
those who have been registered
by Employment Agency of
Kosjerić municipality.
