As John spoke of our Savior, "behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sins
of the world." Truly, we can rejoice and be thankful that indeed, the Passover is
fulfilled in Jesus, Yeshua the Messiah! For us today the hope is found in our Savior
and the truth is that many blessings have followed. For you and I the Passover is a
very important feast day. Passover in all its celebration is a reflection of the Son of
God and his work on the cross, known as Calvary. This is the Gospel in all its true
form, that is the prophetic fulfillment of Passover.
1 Corinthians 5:7 ¶Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye
are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us:
1 Corinthians 11:23 ¶For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That
the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is
broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
25 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new
testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.
1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of
Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

3957 [pascha /pas·khah/] n n. Of Aramaic origin cf 6453; TDNT 5:896; TDNTA 797; GK
4247; 29 occurrences; AV translates as “Passover” 28 times, and “Easter” once.
1. the paschal sacrifice (which was accustomed to be offered for the people’s deliverance of old
from Egypt).
2. the paschal lamb, i.e. the lamb the Israelites were accustomed to slay and eat on the fourteenth
day of the month of Nisan (the first month of their year) in memory of the day on which their
fathers, preparing to depart from Egypt, were bidden by God to slay and eat a lamb, and to
sprinkle their door posts with its blood, that the destroying angel, seeing the blood, might pass
over their dwellings; Christ crucified is likened to the slain paschal lamb.
3. the paschal supper.
4. the paschal feast, the feast of the Passover, extending from the 14th to the 20th day of the
month Nisan.
Easter: (King James Version)
Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four
quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people
King Herod Aggripa in the above passage is about Peter’s capture, imprisonment, and his escape
from jail by the hand of G-d when an angel led him out of prison.
Aggripa had intended after Easter to bring him forth to the people.
The above translation of the word Easter comes from the Greek word pascha. The trouble is that
the Greek word pascha is translated 28 times as PassOver and only once as Easter.
Passover: Greek word-3957 [pascha /pas·khah/]
Translates this greek word as Passover 28 times
Easter: Greek word-3957 [pascha /pas·khah/]
Translates this greek word as Easter only once!
When ‘pascha’ is used, it refers to the historic O.T. event as described in Exodus 12.
Exodus 12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and
your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is the LORD'S passover.
12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in
the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute
judgment: I am the LORD.
13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see
the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I
smite the land of Egypt.
14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to the LORD
throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever
Passover directly refers to: the L-RDS passover
1. L-RD passed through the land of Egypt on this night and smote the firstborn in the land of
Egypt, both man and beast, and against all gods of Egypt was judgment executed.
2. Children of Israel ate the passover and waited to go out from Egypt
3. They had to apply the blood to door posts
4. They had to stay inside the house [or under the blood]
5. They had to follow all instructions or commands regarding preparation and keeping of it.
6. It would be a memorial
7. It would be a feast to the L-RD throughout your generations
8. Kept a feast by an ordinance forever
Easter: refers to the Christian celebration of the resurrection of the L-rd Jesus Christ from
his tomb three days after his death on the cross.
1. It is celebrated around the same time as Passover
2. Easter celebrations did not occur till a few centuries after apostolic age
3. It is not the same as Passover, it may seem to celebrate our L-rd, but it in no way produces the
prophetic fulfillment as did and does Passover.
4. Herod would not of been bringing Peter out after Easter celebrations when these were
established at the time.
5. Easter is derived from an Anglo-saxon word, Eostre, or estera
Look up Easter at Dictionary.com
O.E. Easterdæg, from Eastre (Northumbrian Eostre), from P.Gmc. *Austron, a goddess of
fertility and spring, probably originally of sunrise whose feast was celebrated at the spring
equinox, from *austra-, from PIE *aus- "to shine" (especially of the dawn). Bede says
Anglo-Saxon Christians adopted her name and many of the celebratory practices for their Mass
of Christ's resurrection. Ultimately related to east. Almost all neighboring languages use a variant
of Latin Pasche to name this holiday. Easter egg attested by 1825, earlier pace egg (1610s).
Easter bunny attested by 1909.
}}—>ISBE: pg 889; Easter
Easter, ester, ; the English word comes from Anglo Saxon Eastre or estera, who is a Teutonic
goddess to whom sacrifice was offered in April, so the name was transferred to the paschal
feast.
The word does not properly occur in scripture, also AV has it in Acts 12:4 where it stands for
Passover, as it is rightly rendered in RV.
}}—>Acts 12:4 (American Standard Version)
4 And when he had taken him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions
of soldiers to guard him; intending after the Passover to bring him forth to the people.
}}—>Acts 12:4(Revised Standard Version)
4 And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of
soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people.
There is no trace of Easter celebration in the NT, though some would see an intimation of it in
1 Cor 5:7
The Jewish Christians in the early church continued to celebrate the Passover, regarding
Christ as the true pashcal lamb and this naturally passed over into a commemoration of the
death and resurrection of our Lord or an Easter feast.
Thus sources point to Easter coming from or being adapted from Eostre and used by
Christians at the time after the Apostolic age!
Eostre (a.k.a. Eastre). She was the Great Mother Goddess of the Saxon people in Northern
Europe. Similarly, the "Teutonic dawn goddess of fertility [was] known variously as Ostare,
Ostara, Ostern, Eostra, Eostre, Eostur, Eastra, Eastur, Austron and Ausos." 1 Her name was
derived from the ancient word for spring: "eastre."

Many sources have also pointed to the Venerable Bede, an 8th century, English pastor and
theologian.

15. The English Months
In olden time the English people -- for it did not seem fitting to me that I should speak of other
people's observance of the year and yet be silent about my own nation's -- calculated their months
according to the course of the moon. Hence, after the manner of the Greeks and the Romans
(the months) take their name from the Moon, for the Moon is called mona and the month
monath.
The first month, which the Latins call January, is Giuli; February is called Solmonath; March
Hrethmonath; April, Eosturmonath; May, Thrimilchi; June, Litha; July, also Litha; August,
Weodmonath; September, Halegmonath; October, Winterfilleth; November, Blodmonath;
December, Giuli, the same name by which January is called. ...
Nor is it irrelevant if we take the time to translate the names of the other months. ... Hrethmonath
is named for their goddess Hretha, to whom they sacrificed at this time. Eosturmonath has a
name which is now translated "Paschal month", and which was once called after a goddess of
theirs named Eostre, in whose honour feasts were celebrated in that month. Now they designate
that Paschal season by her name, calling the joys of the new rite by the time-honoured name of
the old observance. Thrimilchi was so called because in that month the cattle were milked three
times a day...
Historical Evidence:
Constantine At the Council of Nicea (A.D. 325), he declared, "This irregularity [observing
Passover] MUST be corrected!"
At the council of Nicea, Constantine outlawed Passover and directed that Christ's death and
resurrection be celebrated on "the Sunday following the first full moon after the vernal equinox,"
which is a time associated with the spring festival of the pagan fertility goddess Ishtar also
known as Eastre. (That's why in the Church today we celebrate the resurrection at Easter instead
of Passover.) Constantine's goal was to remove Jesus from the context of Passover.
THE COUNCIL OF ANTIOCH (A.D. 345) – "If any bishop, presbyter or deacon will dare,
after this decree, to celebrate Passover, the council judges them to be anathema from the
Church. This council not only deposes them from ministry, but also any others who dare to
communicate with them." (The word anathema means "cursed." The Church actually
pronounced a curse on Christians who would celebrate Passover!)
THE COUNCIL OF LAODICEA (A.D. 365) – "It is not permitted to receive festivals which
are by Jews."
THE COUNCIL OF AGDE, FRANCE (506) – "Christians MUST NOT take part in Jewish
festivals."
THE COUNCIL OF TOLEDO X (7th century) – Easter must be celebrated at the time set by
the decree of Nicea.

Nevertheless, it is incumbent to understand that I do not spend my time trying to get
churches from celebrating Easter. Whatever they do, whether in word or deed will be
judged by the L-RD.
As for me and my house, we will keep the feasts of the L-RD, and Passover, which
incompasses the Days of unleavened bread as one feast; is one of them.

The Passover Lamb
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do not want to get lost in the whole debate of Easter, Eastre, Passover ect the truth of the
whole matter for me and my house.
That truth is, the L-rd commanded us to keep his Feasts, not the churches idea of a Feast,
as well as putting away all idols far from us.
Santa Clause- an idol
Easter bunny- an idol
Halloween- pumpkins, witchcraft, ect, demonic holiday, idol worship, spirits, death,
sacrifice to idols, sacrifice to Satan
Jesus, Yeshua, the Lamb of God
Yeshua, Jesus was born in Bethlehem,
Hebrew Beth-Lechem “house of bread”
Yeshua, Jesus was the Lamb of God
Isaiah 53: He shall be led as a lamb to the slaughter
He was stricken for the transgression of my people
It pleased the Lord to bruise him
Thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin
He shall bear their iniquities
He was numbered with the transgressors;
He bare the sin of many
Made intercession for the transgressors
1 ¶Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no
form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as
it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 ¶Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken,
smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement
of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD
hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a
lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his
mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for
he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he
stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had
done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 ¶Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make
his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure
of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my
righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the
strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the
transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
The Lamb of God-Witness of John
John 1:29 ¶The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb
of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.
John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
1. Casting out the leaven:
Before the feast of passover, all leaven must be thrust out of the house.
Exodus 12:15 Seven days shall ye eat unleavened bread; even the first day ye shall put
away leaven out of your houses: for whosoever eateth leavened bread from the first day
until the seventh day, that soul shall be cut off from Israel.
Jesus fulfills this by entering his Fathers house and throwing out the leaven, sin, the
moneychangers ect, who made his Fathers house a den of thieves.
Matthew 21:12 ¶And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold
and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of
them that sold doves,
13 And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye
have made it a den of thieves.
2. Choosing the Passover Lamb:
According to John Chapter 12, verse one we have it read as six days before the Passover,
Jesus comes to Bethany. It is here that the Preparation of the Body was done:
Preparing the Body for burial: 6 days before passover came
John 12:1 ¶Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which
had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.
2 There they made him a supper; and Martha served: but Lazarus was one of them that sat at the
table with him.
3 Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of
Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the
ointment.
4 Then saith one of his disciples, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, which should betray him,
5 Why was not this ointment sold for three hundred pence, and given to the poor?
6 This he said, not that he cared for the poor; but because he was a thief, and had the bag, and
bare what was put therein.
7 Then said Jesus, Let her alone: against the day of my burying hath she kept this.
3. Then Chief Priests plotted to kill Jesus and the Passover Lamb selected:
In John 12:12 it says “the next day multitude that had come to the feast, when they heard
that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem.
It is here then that the choosing took place, four days before the Passover was to be
sacrificed.
The Torah: Exodus 12 says the choosing of the Lamb was to be done on the tenth day of
the first month, or 4 days before the actual sacrifice.
John 12:1 says 6 days before passover which is 9th day of the month
9th day
John 12:12 says the next day, which was his triumphal entry into jerusalem, 10th day
month
10th day
That leaves four days before the Lamb was to be sacrificed or the 14th day of the month,
Exodus!
11th day
12th day
13th day
14th day
John 12:12 ¶On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that
Jesus was coming to Jerusalem,
13 Took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed
is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young ass, sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an ass's colt.
4. Checking the Lamb for Blemish:
In the Gospels, Yeshua goes to the Temple to teach. While there, he is approached by the
Pharisees, the Sadducees, Herodians and the Teachers of Torah. Each various group poses
difficult questions, trying to trap him in his words. Essentially, they are looking for any blemish,
theological, halachic, or otherwise, which might disqualify him as Messiah. Matt 22 records
these tests.
Matthew 22:46 And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from
that day forth ask him any more questions.
5. The Passover:
The chronology of John tells us that before the Feast of the Passover, Jesus sat down with
his disciples to have supper. Many call this the Last supper, but it is I believe the Passover.
It was held early, now remember it is the 13th of the month, the 14th begins at evening and
goes until the following evening. Jesus was to be sacrificed the following day on the 14th on
the third hour, 9 AM. Jesus hosted this seder early so he could have one last seder with his
disciples.
John 13:1 ¶Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come
that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were
in the world, he loved them unto the end.
2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot,
Simon's son, to betray him;
3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come
from God, and went to God;
6. The Time of the Passover: Bringing the Lamb to be inspected again
Then again we find an inspection of the lamb, this time from the legal standpoint of Roman
law by Pilate who said, “I find no fault in him at all”!
Exodus 12:5, Lamb had to be without blemish, a male of the first year,
John 18:27 Peter then denied again: and immediately the cock crew.
28 ¶Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and
they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they
might eat the passover.
29 Pilate then went out unto them, and said, What accusation bring ye against this man?
30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not a malefactor, we would not have delivered
him up unto thee.
31 Then said Pilate unto them, Take ye him, and judge him according to your law. The Jews
therefore said unto him, It is not lawful for us to put any man to death:
32 That the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled, which he spake, signifying what death he should
die.
33 Then Pilate entered into the judgment hall again, and called Jesus, and said unto him, Art
thou the King of the Jews?
34 Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
35 Pilate answered, Am I a Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee
unto me: what hast thou done?
36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, then
would my servants fight, that I should not be delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not
from hence.
37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a
king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness
unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
38 Pilate saith unto him, What is truth? And when he had said this, he went out again
unto the Jews, and saith unto them, I find in him no fault at all.
39 But ye have a custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore
that I release unto you the King of the Jews?
40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was a robber.
7. Lamb put on public display, Third hour- 9 AM
8. Sacrifice of the Lamb Third hour- 9 AM
Mark 15:25 And it was the third hour, and they crucified him.
26 And the superscription of his accusation was written over, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
27 And with him they crucify two thieves; the one on his right hand, and the other on his left.
28 And the scripture was fulfilled, which saith, And he was numbered with the transgressors.
9. It is Finished: He dies on the ninth hour 3 PM
Darkness is upon the land from the sixth hour until the ninth hour, then Jesus
"IT IS FINISHED," and gave up His spirit. In Greek, "It is finished" is tetelistai! It means,
"The debt has been paid in full!"
The Passover lamb is killed by the high priest at 3 PM, on 3 PM, the ninth hour the
passover Lamb, Yeshua died saying it is finished.
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli,
lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
47 Some of them that stood there, when they heard that, said, This man calleth for Elias.
48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on
a reed, and gave him to drink.
49 The rest said, Let be, let us see whether Elias will come to save him.
50 ¶Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the
earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared
unto many.
54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Jesus, saw the earthquake,
and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he
bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
31 ¶The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies should not remain
upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate
that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.
32 Then came the soldiers, and brake the legs of the first, and of the other which was crucified
with him.
33 But when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was dead already, they brake not his legs:
34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and
water.
35 And he that saw it bare record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that
ye might believe.
36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be
broken.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Revelation 5:6 ¶And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in
the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes,
which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Revelation 7:10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon
the throne, and unto the Lamb.
Revelation 7:17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead
them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men,
being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb.
Revelation 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out
without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and
brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:
Revelation 15:3 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb,
saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou
King of saints.
Revelation 19:9 And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are called unto the
marriage supper of the Lamb. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God.
Revelation 21:22 And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the
temple of it.
Revelation 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the
glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Revelation 22:1 ¶And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out
of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall
be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
