Help support the WA Cervical Cancer Prevention Program’s 2016 Cervical Cancer Prevention
Campaign online. You may like to use one or more of the following Facebook and Twitter posts to
help promote cervical cancer prevention messages within the social media networks of your
organisation. These posts can be adapted to include specific details of your organisation, activity or
event.
Key Messages



Currently, the best way to prevent cervical cancer is through regular cervical screening (Pap
smears) every two years
Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the main cause of cervical cancer
All women aged 18-69 years who have ever been sexually active, even HPV vaccinated
women, need to undertake regular cervical screening
