Angle- A figure formed by 2 rays joined at their endpoints.
Initial Ray- The starting side of the angle.
Terminal Ray- The ending side of the angle.
Standard Position- The initial ray of the angle lies on the positive x axis.
Degree- One 360 th of a circle.
Radian- The length of the arc on a circle equal to the radius of the circle.
Coterminal- Angles that have the same initial ray and terminal ray.
Unit Circle- A circle with a radius of one.
Sine (sin)- The opposite over the hypotenuse.
Cosine (cos)- The adjacent over the hypotenuse.
Tangent (tan)- The opposite over the adjacent.
Pythagorean Identity- (sin𝜽)2 + (cos𝜽)2 = 1
Intercepts- points where the graph touches an axis.
Period- The measure of one complete, non-repeating cycle.
Midline- The horizontal line through the center of the graph.
Amplitude- The distance from the midline to the maximum or minimum
point.
