Easter 2014
April 14, 2014
The surgery will be closed on the following dates over Easter:
Good Friday (18th)
Easter Monday (21st)
Simple steps such as having a well-stocked medicine cabinet at home can help with minor
illnesses and injuries, and with us being closed Good Friday and Easter Monday we want to
remind patients to ensure their repeat prescriptions are ordered in advance.
For immediate, life-threatening emergencies such as stroke, blacking out or severe blood loss,
patients should dial 999 or got to their local A&E department.
For other illnesses and injuries there are a range of services available. Pharmacists can help with
many minor ailments such as colds, flu, headaches, sore throats, ear aches, emergency
contraception, skin problems and more.
To find out which pharmacies will be open over the Bank Holiday weekend, visit
www.cambridgeshireandpeterboroughccg.nhs.uk or call NHS 111.
Minor Injury Units (MIUs) and Walk-in Centres can help with things like wound stitching, bites,
minor burns and scalds and sports injuries:

answered by a team of fully trained call advisers who will direct the caller to the most appropriate
