RELOC® Wiring Solutions
In
today’s
fast-paced
construction
market, staying on schedule and under
budget is tougher than ever. Every job
demands wiring solutions that reduce
installation time and adapt to changes,
whether they occur during construction
or after a building is occupied. With rising
labor costs and the shortage of qualified
electricians, traditional wiring methods no
longer measure up.
RELOC Wiring Solutions from Acuity Brands
Lighting has been the leader in modular
wiring since 1977. Reloc offers three
unique wiring systems that are fast, easy
and effective: Quick-Flex® wiring for
recessed ceiling lighting installations,
OnePass® system for open-ceiling lighting
installations and System 820 for specialty
lighting and power applications.

Quick-Flex®
recessed-ceiling
wiring is faster
and easier
to install than
MC Cable® or other
modular wiring
systems. With only three basic components, the
Quick-Flex system snaps together in a fraction of the time it
takes to wire a fixture with MC Cable. There is no need for
tools, factory estimating or drawing services. Due to faster
installation, labor costs are dramatically reduced, cutting
down the total job cost.
The Quick-Flex system is ideal for wiring lay-in troffers,
parabolics, downlights, indirect fixtures and emergency lighting
equipment in office buildings, schools and retail stores.
Quick-Flex Standard Features
• The Quick-Flex fixture combo is shipped standard with an
access plate (as shown in the photo below). These access
plates have one pre-punched knockout to speed the
installation of Lithonia troffers and parabolics. For downlights or
non-Lithonia fixtures, discard access plate and install fixture
cable directly to any 1/2” knockout.
• UL Listed autoground – Fixtures are grounded
automatically as soon as the access plate is
snapped in place. No ground leads to connect.
• Auto-latching springs allow for an easy, secure connection and
prevent accidental disengagement.
Factory-Installed Combo Option
The Quick-Flex fixture cable (QFC) can be prewired to the fixture
in the factory. Both the fixture and Quick-Flex cable are shipped
together. This reduces the amount of time spent sorting materials
at the job site. It also cuts on-site disposal costs. This option is
ideal for jobs with 100 or more fixtures of the same type, using the
same Quick-Flex fixture cable.
See page 3 for ordering information.

Switching Solutions
If MC Cable is used
between switches,
Quick-Flex wiring can
provide a simple and
efficient link from the
switchbox to the fixtures
on the switched circuit.
For best results, install
Quick-Flex switch drops

3 THREE
OnePass® open-ceiling wiring simplifies
the installation of high bay fixtures.
Traditional hardwiring requires three or more passes to install conduit, pull wire and hang fixtures. Using the OnePass
system, only three basic components and one pass are needed. Faster installation reduces labor costs and the total job cost.
Plus, there is no need for factory estimating or drawing services.
The OnePass system is ideal for installing HIDand fluorescent fixtures in manufacturing facilities, warehouses, retail
facilities and any other open-ceiling fixture applications.
OnePass Standard Features
• The OnePass system is listed for open accessible
ceilings and dry locations, meeting or exceeding the
UL 183 and 22.2 203.1 requirements, the National
Electrical Code and Canadian Standards.
• All components are easy to install and relocate,
featuring easy-to-grip cable heads and self-latching
springs that simply plug together.
OnePass Factory-Installed Option
Use the following guidelines to order fixtures with OnePass pre-installed.
• Add OCS to the description: Example IB 454 277 LP835A OCS. Consult
factory for other options.
•
For four or five conductor fixture drops, follow the same guidelines as
above, except tap positions must now be specified for the OCU product.
Example: OCU122N = 5' white cord with two hots, two dedicated
neutrals and a ground.
Example: OCU2310 = 10' white cord with two hots and one neutral.
• OnePass wiring is rated at 20A with 90ºC 12
AWG conductors. The OnePass OC2 cable also is
available in a 10AWG, 20A option to reduce voltage
drop on longer runs.
• All components are keyed to prevent different
voltages from connecting, and color-coded cable
heads allow for easy identification.

The OCS is a polarized plug-in connection for industrial
fixtures, featuring a patented thumbslide action. Just
choose the desired hot conductor(s) needed to
energize each fixture. Simply slide the circuit selector
to position 1, 2 or 3 and plug the fixture into the
system. No more worrying about coordinating
different-circuited fixtures. The OCS permits removal of
any fixture from the branch circuit without additional
components or interruption in the branch circuit.
