Summary: The bubonic plague or Black death was a horrific disease. The disease was spread through bacteria carried by
rats from Asia and fleas. Because of personal hygiene and over crowdedness, rats were in abundance. The fleas on the rats
would transfer to the people of Europe giving them the bubonic bacteria. The symptoms of the disease caused internal
bleeding, when the blood dried it left the skin black (where it gets its name). Ultimately, there were no cures or knowledge of
where the disease originated. Because of this the final outcome was always death.
