Daytime events

Telescope and binocular demonstrations by members of the Astronomical Society of Edinburgh,
(ASE). If you have any questions about astronomy, astrophotography or how to use a telescope or
binoculars we are happy to answer them.
Astrophotography displays by Jon Watson of Astonomical Society of Edinburgh.
Astrophotography Projection displays by members of Astonomical Society of Edinburgh.
Meteorite handling, plus Mars and Moon rock demonstrations.
Space themed make and take activities for children.
Antique telescope display.
Astro face painting (12:00–15:00).
Virtual star shows with the Royal Observatory Edinburgh.
Virtual space rollercoaster experience with Cosmos Planetarium.
NASA dress up astronaut suits (for children under 10) with Cosmos Planetarium.
Mars Rover landing interactive game with Cosmos Planetarium.
Plus Concorde and all the exciting exhibits at the National Museum of Flight
Cosmos full dome planetarium shows
Free but please book your place in Hangar 4, as places are limited to first come first served.
Children must be accompanied by an adult. See overleaf for show times and details.
Outside Hangar 4 10:30–12:30 & 14:00–15:30 (weather permitting)


Solar observing sessions by members of the Astronomical Society of Edinburgh.
