Control: the control center of Blaze’s mind that acts as the leader for Anger and Panic
THE CLASSICS SPEAK TO ME by Wade Byard (existential comedy)
A desk and white board stand at the front of the room.
The teacher, Mr. Templeton, is a middle-aged man with a tweed
jacket and an air of stuffy snobbishness.
Images of Socrates, Shakespeare and Charles Dickens are on
the white board. They come to life and wackiness ensues.
The Rhetoric Fairy by Jonathan Pinera (existential comedy)
The Rhetoric Fairy comes out of the pages of a book to help Paul master his learning targets and succeed
in school.

CHARACTERS:
VICKY: A teenage girl trying to work through her current-day
emotional issues and come to terms with her past self.
YOUNG VICKY: VICKY from middle school. A girl with an attitude
problem and trouble connecting with other people. She
has an uneasy relationship with her sister.
COUNSELOR: Gives therapy sessions to VICKY during school.
TERESA: VICKY’s older sister. (Could be played by a boy with
some slight changes, including changing the name to
TERRY.)
YEARS by JULIA CONNOR
SETTING: Classroom and hallway (classroom on one half of stage
and hallway on other half)
PLOT: A boy goes through the four years of high school and
discovers who he truly is within the walls of a classroom
