The Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses are the most significant
archeological excavations of the 20th century. Work is ongoing
at this site, which is around 1.5 kilometers east of Emperor Qin
Shi Huang's Mausoleum, Lintong County, Shaanxi province. It
is a sight not to be missed by any visitor to China. The museum
covers an area of 16,300 square meters, divided into three
sections: No. 1 Pit, No. 2 Pit, and No. 3 Pit respectively. They
were tagged in the order of their discoveries.
Shaanxi History Museum is located in the northwest of the Xi’an Wild Goose Pagoda.
It was built in 1983 and was open on June 20, 1991. Shaanxi
History Museum is China’s first large-scale modern national
museum; it marks that China’s museum career has entered
into a new development mileage. The Museum has the style
of Tang dynasty buildings of “central palace hall with four
worship houses around” with orderly, harmonious, vigorous
and grave construction, melting the national tradition, local
characteristics and the spirit of time into an organic whole.

The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the
Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. For almost five
centuries, it served as the home of the Emperor and his
household, as well as the ceremonial and political centre of

Hutongs are a type of narrow streets or alleys, most commonly associated with
Beijing, China. In Beijing, hutongs are alleys formed by
lines of siheyuan, traditional courtyard residences. Many
neighborhoods were formed by joining one siheyuan to
another to form a hutong, and then joining one hutong to
another. The word hutong is also used to refer to such
neighborhoods.
