specific biome and present their findings to the class in the form of a display and
an oral presentation.

A description of the plant life
A description of animal life
An energy pyramid that relates to the biome
A description of human interference in the biome

Map Page: Using world map provided, indicate where biome is located
Climate Page:
Weather patterns that occur in your biome
Write a (5-7 sentence) paragraph that gives
information about the average rainfall in the summer
months, as well as the winter months. It should also
include information the average temperatures, wet or
dry seasons, type of precipitation, etc.
Plants Page:
Info about 3 specific plants that are particular to your biome
In addition to a drawing or picture of each plant
You are to write a (5-7 sentence) paragraph that gives
information about each plant. This paragraph should
include:
1. Species name
2. Tell why it is important in to the biome
3. Explain adaptations that allow it to
survive / thrive in this biome
Animal Page: Info about 5 specific animals that are particular to your biome
Drawing or picture of each animal
Write a (5-7 sentence) paragraph that gives information
about each animal. This paragraph should include:
1. Species name
2. Tell why it is important in to the biome
3. Explain adaptations that allow it to
survive / thrive in this biome
Energy Pyramid Page: Information about how energy passes through the
ecosystem
Your energy pyramid should include:
1. Examples of organisms from your biome in
each trophic level of the pyramid
2. Also write a few (3 or 4) brief sentences
explaining what your energy pyramid shows
Human Interference Page: A (5 to 7 sentence) paragraph of how pollution or
human interference can affect your biome. Items to
include are:
1. What type of pollution / interference occurs?
2. How does it affect specific animal and plant
life?
3. Is this interference always bad, always
good, or a little of both?
