Organizer for Chemical and
Mechanical Digestion:
Using your text books (Ch. 15 – Digestive System) and the
other reference books in the classroom, complete the graphic
organizer describing the components of digestion.
Under each of the columns marked with a macromolecule
(Carbohydrates, Proteins, and Lipids), if the organ assists in
the chemical or enzymatic breakdown of the macromolecule
then list the ENZYME that breaks it down and what it does.
See the example I put under Carbs for you.
Under the column “other functions” you should list nonchemical elements to digestion like what I put down under the
example.
You will have some empty blocks there are organs that do not
digest all of the molecules.
