PHP AND ONLINE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, Developer, New York, NY, (2004 – Present)
 Developed custom gift creation website using PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript that allowed customers to
upload images to products, add text in a variety of fonts, and choose, scale, position, and apply clip art.
 Developed shopping cart solution for custom gift website that allowed users to clone customizations
created and applied to items already in the cart to other items then added to the cart in one step. Utilized
PayPal IPN to handle payment and begin the automatic processing of orders.
 Developed back end interface for order fulfillment contractors to login, access queues of orders routed to
them based on business logic, and update order status. Customers were informed automatically via email
when their order status changed from queued to processing, processed, or shipped. Interface also allowed
contractors to run reports and see how much money was owed to them based on per contractor rates per
item produced.
 Developed aquarium profiling site using PHP, MySQL, AJAX, and JavaScript where members can
describe their aquariums and upload and tag pictures and videos. Utilized Google YouTube GDATA API
to allow members to upload videos to YouTube through the site. Members can search for content based
on aquarium type or tag, view image slide shows and videos, and leave comments for one another.
Members at integrated aquarium forum are automatically informed of new comments on their aquariums.
 Managed vBulletin and phpBB installations including template modification and design, performed
upgrades and software migrations, integrated 3rd party addons.
 Developed forum-wide, database driven multiplayer games, enhanced reporting functionality, and various
other features using PHP and MySQL in high-traffic, production environment to enhance vBulletin and
phpBB installations which have kept users coming back and resulted in a combined 100,000 monthly
visits and more than 1,000,000 monthly impressions.
 Utilized Google Analytics to identify traffic patterns and optimize advertising revenue.
