BAA Studio Company auditions are February 6, 2016 1:30-3:30pm at BAA. Please read over the
guidelines below before auditioning and bring the last page, signed by the dancer and parent, to the
audition. Dancers should wear tights and leotards, and bring ballet slippers, pointe shoes, and jazz
shoes.
This agreement is required upon auditioning for the BAA Studio Company and earning placement
as a dancer. As a member of the company I will, to the best of my ability, adhere to the following:

I must attend all weekly classes at my appropriate ballet level, all other classes registered for, and all of my
scheduled rehearsals. Rehearsals will be on Saturdays 9am-5pm beginning February 13 and ending May 14,
with some additional Sunday rehearsals as needed. The rehearsal schedule will be emailed to dancers and
parents following the audition.

I will submit all of my rehearsal and class conflicts with this agreement and understand that my casting will
be determined by my conflicts. If I miss more than two rehearsals, my parts may need to be recast.

I will attend each class and rehearsal with the desire to dance, to learn, and the willingness to work with my
peers.

The Spring 2016 season may include, but is not limited to, a spring company performance tentatively
scheduled for May 1, outreach performances in the community, and the BAA spring recital.

I will be on time and properly groomed, including following the BAA Dress Code.

I will be thoughtful and courteous to all students, parents, board members, and staff at Ballet Arts
Academy. I will behave appropriately at all times.

I will represent BAA with pride.

I will treat all property with respect. I will return borrowed costumes cleaned at my expense, if necessary.

I understand this commitment is for the spring semester, beginning in February and ending with the last
class of May of the current calendar year.

I understand that photographs and video may be taken of me in connection with BAA Studio Company and I
allow these photographs to be used for marketing or decorative purpose and on the BAA website
www.baamissoula.org.

I understand that I am highly encouraged to attend the Montana Dance Arts Association conference in the
spring.

I understand I am highly encouraged to participate in summer classes to continue developing strength and
flexibility as not to break the continuity of my training. This can be in the form of intensive programs, open

classes, and workshops.

I understand that there is a $150 performance fee due March 1 to help cover the cost of venue rentals,
technical needs, and costumes. This fee is payable to BAA and can be included with your tuition. If you
need financial assistance, please talk to Jordan.

I understand that a lack of fulfilling any of the above is grounds for dismal by the instructors.

I also understand that: dedication, attendance, attitude, respect, and working to my absolute best potential
at all times will be my guidelines for role placement in all upcoming performances.
Please sign the last page of this document and bring it to the company audition on February 6 at
1:30-3:30pm. Keep the requirements for participation for your records.
