NOTICE OF PROPOSAL
PROPOSED CORBY BOROUGH COUNCIL TRAIN STATION CAR PARK (OFFSTREET PAY AND DISPLAY PARKING PLACES) ORDER 2015
Following a resolution of Full Council to do so on 12th February and following public
consultation which occurred between 15 January 2015 and the 26th February 2015
on the proposed Parking Order. Corby Borough Council now proposes to confirm
the above Order (“the Proposed Order”) under its powers contained in the Road
Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended and The Traffic Management Act 2004,
(as amended), and all other enabling powers.
The effect of the Proposed Order will be:






Introduce charges for all blue badge holders as per the standard
Cars will be required to be removed for a minimum of 24 hours after seven
days of continuous use in the car park unless displaying a valid permit.
Electric vehicle charging bays will be restricted to electric vehicles only.
Motorcycles will be restricted to designated spaces but will not be required to
pay as they are unable to display a ticket.
Taxi and bus stop areas will be restricted to those users only.
Drop off and pick up areas will be limited waiting time as per the signage.
The Proposed Order will take effect from 12.00 midnight on Sunday 12 th July 2015
Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Proposed Order are available for
inspection Monday to Friday except (bank holidays), between the hours 9am and
5pm at The Corby Cube main reception desk .
