What is Virgin Coconut Oil
(VCNO)?
VCNO is the purest form of
coconut oil, water white in color and
contains natural vitamin E and with very
low fatty acid and peroxide value. It is a
naturally processed product from fresh
coconut meat or its derivative coconut milk
residue. It has not undergone any chemical
processing i.e. refining, bleaching and
deodorization after extraction thus free of
chemicals and other additives. It is shelfstable for two years.

What makes VCNO a potent healing
food?
the risk of anteriosclerosis and heart
disease, improves digestion and nutrient
absorption, makes skin soft and smooth
and prevents pre-mature aging.
Enzymes in the saliva and gastric juices
breakdown MCFA almost immediately
giving less strain on the pancreas and
digestive system.

It is easily converted into energy
and not stored as body fat thus ideal for
weight-watchers and athletes. It increases
metabolism thus helps protect one from
illness and speeds healing.
What is the difference between
VCNO and copra-derived cooking
oil?
Copra derived cooking oil has
undergone chemical refining, bleaching,
and deodorization to make it suitable for
human consumption. It is yellow or pale
yellow in color and does not contain Vit. E
since this is removed during various
processes i.e high temperature.

Why is VCNO the healthiest oil on
earth?
VCNO is very rich in Medium
Chain Fatty Acids (MCFA) of vital
nutrients and protective anti-microbial
lauric and capric acid. Its anti-microbial
fatty acid is similar to that found in
mother’s milk that protects infants from
infectious diseases.
VCNO contains 50% lauric acid, a
medium chain fatty acid considered for its
many health benefits. Lauric acid is
abundant in human breast milk thus the fat
in VCNO is similar to mother’s milk and
had same nutriceutical effects.


What are the properties of VCNO?
It has antibacterial, antiviral,
antifungal and antiprotozoal properties. It
is rich in Vitamins E,C and B.

How does VCNO functions in our
body?
VCNO strengthens the body’s
immune system, helps prevent bacterial,
viral and fungal infections, reduce the risk
of cancer, helps control diabetes, reduce
What are the effects of medium
chain fatty acid in the human body?
MCFA
is
converted
into
monolaurin inside the human body.
Monolaurin is the anti-viral, anti-bacterial,
antiprotozoal monoglyceride used by
humans to destroy lipid coated viruses
such as HIV, herpes, cytomegalovirus and
influenza among others.
MCFA of coconut oil is easily
digested and absorbed in the body.

How does MCFA acts against
disease causing microorganisms?
Some microorganisms had lipid or
fats covering its nucleotides (RNA and
DNA) making it less vulnerable to
antibiotic.
MCFA
and
their
monoglycerides deactivate the lipid coated
organisms by destroying or rupturing the
plasma membrane lipid bilayer (protective
envelop) of the organism making it prone
to antibiotic action.

What
types
of
lipid-coated
microorganism
that
can
be
destroyed by monolaurin?
 LIPID COATED VIRUSES
Human immunodeficiency virus
Measles virus, Pneumonia virus
Herpes Simplex Virus
Sarcoma virus, Synctial virus
Leukemia virus
Human Lymphotropic Virus
Vesicular Stomatitis Virus
Visna virus, Hepatitis virus
Cytomegalovirus
Epstein –barr virus
 LIPID COATED BACTERIA
Listeria monocyatogenesis
Helicobacter pylori
Hemophilus influenza
Staphlococcus aureus
Streptococcus agalactiae
Group A,B,F,G streptococci
Gram positive organism
Gram negative organisms

What are the bacteria inactivated
by MCFA and its monoglycerides
like monolaurin?


Food supplement to boost immune
system, enhance metabolism and provide
energy and ease constipation
 Effective antiseptic and remedy for
eczema, skin rashes and other skin
ailments
 Ideal for herbal soap and aroma
therapy industry
 Makes skin and hair healthy and
smooth

Streptococcus- caused throat infections,
pneumonia, sinusitis, ear ache,
rheumatic fever, dental cavities
Staphylococcus-causes staph infection,
food poisoning, urinary tract
infections,
toxic
shock
syndrome
Neisseriacauses
meningitis,
gonorrhea, pelvic inflammatory
disease,
Chlamydia-causes genital infections ,
lymphogranuloma
venereum,
conjuctivitis,
parrot
fever,
pneumonia, periodontitis
Helicobacter pylori-causes- stomach
ulcers
Gram positive organism-cases anthrax,
gastroenteritis, botulism, tetanus
What are the uses and other
benefits of VCNO?
How much to take to get the
recommended daily dose of lauric
acid?
 Virgin coconut oil – three and a
half tablespoon per day
 Three tablespoon of coconut cream
 One half cup of whole coconut
milk
 One half coconut meat a day or 15
nuts of fresh coconut a month
It’s our best food
