capabilities offered by our flatbed scanning technologies. We look forward to working with
Microtek on a long-term basis to bring to market new products which greatly facilitate image
correction and enhancement such as our Digital ICE flatbed scanner technology.”
Digital ICE for Flatbed Scanners
Digital ICE is designed to automatically remove dust and lint while also correcting scratches,
and cracks found on the surfaces of most prints. Digital ICE for flatbed scanners uses a defect
map to identify the precise locations of physical defects or visual "noise" on a print being
scanned. Differential shadowing technology and proprietary software algorithms quickly and
automatically eliminate the unwanted defects.
