Project Description
You are a board game manufacturer, and you have been assigned the task of creating a board game that
will help students review everything we learned from Mesopotamia in a fun and interesting way! It should
reflect the most important things we learned about during our unit on Mesopotamia. You will be able to
work with a partner (if you choose). The game should be designed for two to four players .
Project Requirements







One poster-board sized game board—must be neat, colorful, and creative, and
incorporate details from Mesopotamia (Geography, Religion, Jobs/Social
Classes, Agriculture, Government, Protection, Trade, Inventions, etc.)
Creative name for board game
Relate the format and purpose of your game to life in Mesopotamia in some way.
Example: the game board is in the shape of a city-state or the purpose is to trade
with or conquer other city-states, survive the harvest, move up a social class,
please the gods, etc.
Directions—Must be neatly written or typed, and included with the game board
Dice, game pieces, spinners etc. should be provided!!
If you design a game with question cards:
o Write a minimum of 30 question cards.
o Questions should reflect a variety of topics.
o Make sure to include the correct answer somewhere on each card.
o A good question should have only ONE specific answer.
If you design a different type of board game, ensure that you cover the areas
listed below:
o Geography
o Religion
o Social Classes/Jobs
o City-State protection
o Agriculture (irrigation, protecting against food shortages, maintaining
irrigation systems)
o Government
o Inventions
o Trade
