Interior of Earth Comic Life
Goal: You are to create a comic life project depicting the layers of the Earth.
Procedure:
1. Go to the server and Mrs. Gates’s 6th hour drop box. Drag the 3 pictures
to your desktop. You will choose which picture you want to use from these
3 images. Once you choose your picture, drag the other 2 to the trash!
2. Open comic life.
3. Drag a single panel onto the comic life document.
4. Go to your desktop, drag a picture of the Earth from your desktop onto
your comic life project. You will then choose textboxes to label and identify
each of the layers.
5. Drag a text box onto your comic life; drag the arrow towards the inner
core. In the textbox write the following information.
a. Inner core
b. Material the inner core is made of
c. If the inner core is solid or liquid
d. The thickness of the inner core
6. Choose a second textbox; drag the textbox onto your comic life project.
Drag the arrow to point towards the outer core. In the textbox write the
following information.
a. Outer core
b. Material the outer core is made of
c. If the outer core is solid or liquid
d. The thickness of the outer core
7. Choose a third textbox; drag the textbox onto your comic life project.
Drag the arrow to point towards the mantle. In the textbox write the
following information.
a. Mantle
b. Material mantle is made of
c. If the mantle is solid or liquid
d. The thickness of the mantle
8. Choose a fourth textbox; drag the textbox onto your comic life project.
Drag the arrow to point towards the crust. In the textbox write the following
information.
a. Crust
b. Material crust is made of
c. If the crust is solid or liquid
d. Thickness of the crust
9. Once you have done all of the above you can now change the colors, text
style, etc. of your comic life.
Interior of Earth Comic Life Rubric
Your comic life project should be one page and should include all of the
following:
1. Picture of earth showing the interior-2pts.
2. Four textboxes with each textbox pointing to one of the layers-4 pts.
3. Each textbox should have the name of the layer, the material the layer is
made of, if the layer is solid or liquid, and the thickness of the layer-4pts.
Total: 10 pts.
