Pay attention to the teacher’s explanation about the verb to be. After that, do the exercises she proposes.
The verb “to be” is one of the most important verbs in any language; it indicates what or where a subject is.
For example: I am a student (indicates that I study), I am in the school (indicates where I am). The principal
subjects we use in English are the personal pronouns (I, You, He, She, It, We, You, They) they are always
used before the action we can’t omit them. So, the verb “to be” for each personal pronoun is:
I am, You are, He is, She is, It is, We are, You are, They are. Remember that for a complete sentence, we
use the personal pronoun, the action an a complement.
