UNIT 3 PROJECT
Water, Macromolecules, Vitamins & Minerals
There are several ideas for projects listed at the bottom of this paper. You are to choose any one idea and
complete them by the day you return from Thanksgiving Break. The project is worth 50 points. ALL projects
must include all vocabulary words listed under Biology Concepts.
Create a biology board or
card game that concerns the
macromolecules,
water
&
vitamins/minerals.
You will
need
to
include
all
materials, directions, and a
bag or box to hold the
pieces.
The game must help
teach
or
reinforce
the
biology concept learned.
By now you now the important
role
that
water,
macromolecules, vitamins and
minerals play in keeping our
bodies
balanced!
Pay
tribute to these molecules
by making them into trading
cars. These cards must have
a picture of the molecule,
their structure, function,
and a description of how
they
contribute
to
our
bodies’
homeostasis.
**Refer
to
the
graphic
organizer
for
the
information
that
must
be
included**
Create
a
children’s
book
about
the
macromolecules,
water, vitamins and minerals
in our body.
Make sure you
include
illustrations,
definitions and make it easy
enough to be understood by
an elementary age student.
Create a song or rap about
the macromolecules, water,
vitamins and minerals (you
can
also
include
lyrics
about the class in general).
You must have at least 3
verses and a beat. You must
hand in a recorded version
as
well
as
a
written
version.
Write a letter (2 pages
typed
or
4
pages
handwritten) as if you are a
nutritionist writing to a
patient
about
living
a
healthier
lifestyle.
Include
the
necessary
biological
molecules
that
your patient needs to keep
his/her body in homeostasis.
Create a poster for the
macromolecules,
water,
vitamins and minerals that
includes
a
table
to
summarize the differences.
This poster should explain
in detail each molecule and
include pictures as examples
for each one and pictures of
the structure.
Neatness,
creativity, and correctness
all count!
