Cell Foldable Project
You will be making a foldable layered book containing information about eukaryotic cell organelles. Since both
plant and animal cells are eukaryotic, you will include all of the organelles:
o Cell membrane
o Cell wall
o Mitochondria
o Nucleus
o Chloroplast
o Lysosome
o Endoplasmic reticulum
o Golgi apparatus
o Ribosome
o Vacuole
o Vesicle
o Cytoskeleton
ORGANELLE FLAPS: Each organelle will have its own flap in the book. On that flap, you will need to provide the
following information:
1) name of the organelle (which you can see when the foldable is lying flat)
2) function of the organelle
3) type of cell that contains the organelle (animal, plant, or both)
4) Extra credit – a picture of each individual organelle, with specific structures (membranes, contents,
etc) LABELED and a detailed description/diagram of the function
CELL DRAWINGS FLAP: The last flap of the book will be your drawings of both a plant and animal cell. You must
color your drawings and label all of the organelles listed above.
Here is a diagram of what the front of your foldable layered book should look like:

cut up the center of the flaps on the line (you won’t cut the title or drawing flap)
Each individual flap (except last one with cell drawings) will look like this:

Flap opens upward
Extra credit picture of organelle would be placed
on the back of the flap
