UNIT 10 REVIEW
10.16. State the purpose of the current ship's maintenance project.
The purpose of the CSMP is to provide the Divo's with a consolidated listing of deferred maintenance to ID
the material condition of the ship.
a. Each WCS is responsible for accurate representation of his work center.
b. The Divo uses the CSMP to determine the limiting effects and the possible casrep situations.
c. Can assist with determining plans for action for accomplishing the deferred maintenance and
evaluating the WCS.
10.15. Define the following
Deferred maintenance- Requires some assistance from an outside activity.(supply support, IMA, depot)
- Is deferred when ship's force cannot complete within thirty days.
- Includes INSURV deficiencies
- Required for those jobs that have the potential to cause injury of damage to equip.
- Required for equip. on the SEL(selected equipment list).
Non-deferred maintenance- any maintenance action that can be completed in thirty days by ship's force.
Completed maintenance- Completed maintenance on SEL equip.
- Completed configuration changes
- And maintenance actions considered significant for material history purposes.
Selected equipment- Equip. for which data is required to determine reliability, or for other reasons to make
the equipment of interest to Logistics Managers. Top study equipment under any intensive management
program, it must be placed on the SEL so that all maintenance and material usage data may be collected.
Organizational level maintenance- Performed by the ship's force.
Intermediate level maintenance- Performed by an intermediate maintenance
activity(IMA,SIMA,BFIMA,ARGIMA).
Depot level maintenance- Usually performed by a shipyard.
10.19. State the purpose of the Quality Control Program.
The purpose of the QCP is to obtain the highest level that the work will be completed safely and correctly
within the tech. specs. the first time. Also to minimize the man-hours and materials expended.
10.13. Given a supply problem scenario correctly prepare 1250-1s for the requisition of both maintenance
and non-maintenance related items.
-Understand how, why, and who approves it.
10.07. State the Supply Divisions and their related functions.

Publication allowance list- semi-annual document that contains the current tech. mans. for
operating and maintaining equipment.
Technical manual deficiency evaluation report- pre-addressed, pre-stamped forms located in the
back of each tech. man. for manual corrections.
NAVSUP2000- provides the stock number for ordering tech. mans.
Manufacturers Instruction Books- provided by the manufacturer. Will be used for prototype
systems that have not yet been adopted for use by the Navy.
PMS- operationally tests the equipment and the system.
Combat Systems Technical Operations Manual- organized data to help personnel operate the entire
combat system. Also provides a comprehensive checklist for watch-standers.
Combat Systems Operational Sequencing Sys.- represents the application of a systems approach to
safe and efficient ops. for today's systems.
