Scene 1
Narrator 1: The night goes away.
Narrator 2: The moon in the sky calls the stars.
Moon:
‘Come here! It’s time to go to bed!’
Narrator 3: The stars go to bed.
Narrator 1: But one star hides under a cloud.
Narrator 2: She wants to see the sun.
Scene 2
Narrator 1: The star waits.
Star:
‘Where is the sun? I want to see the sun!’
Narrator 2: Behind the mountains the sun comes out.
Star:
‘Wow! He’s big!’
Narrator 3: The star looks around.
Star:
‘What a lot of colours!’
Scene 3
Star:
‘I see red tomatoes. I like red. I want to be a red star!’
Narrator 1: She sings a special song.
Chorus 1:
‘Tiger, spider and bee, this colour is for me! One, two, three.’
Narrator 2: But she isn’t red.
Star:
‘Oh, this colour isn’t for me.’
Narrator 3: She looks around.
Scene 4
Star:
‘I see orange pumpkins! I like orange. I want to be an orange star!’
Narrator 1: She sings a special song.
Chorus 1:
‘Tiger, spider and bee, this colour is for me! One, two, three.’
Narrator 2: But she isn’t orange!
Star:
‘Oh, this colour isn’t for me.’
Narrator 3: She looks around.

Star:
‘I see yellow lemons! I like yellow. I want to be a yellow star!’

Narrator 2: But she isn’t purple or violet!
Star:
‘Oh, these colours aren’t for me.’
Narrator 3: She looks around.

Star: ‘I see big clouds. Where is the sun? I want to see the sun!’
(pause)
Star: ‘Oh no! Pitter patter, pitter patter! There are raindrops on my head! I want a hat!’
Narrator 1: The star is cold and tired.
Narrator 2: She falls asleep.
Chorus 1:
PITTER PATTER, PITTER PATTER
Narrator 3: It rains on the mountains.
Narrator 1: And it rains on the star.
Chorus 2:
PITTER PATTER, PITTER PATTER
Narrator 2: It rains and then it stops.
Narrator 3: The clouds go away.
Scene 10
Narrator 1: The sun comes out.
Narrator 2: He’s big and hot.
Narrator 3: The star opens her eyes and sees the sun.
Star:
‘Wow!’
Narrator 1: And from her mouth a big rainbow comes out:
Narrator 2: Red, orange, yellow
Narrator 3: Green, blue, purple and violet!
Star:
‘Hurray! These colours are for me!’
