The total resistance of the silicon bar (its Ohmic resistance) will be dependent upon the semiconductors actual doping level as well as the physical dimensions of the N-type silicon channel but can be represented by RBB. If measured with an ohmmeter, this static resistance would typically measure so ...

... Being an enhancement mode device the transistor needs a positive voltage on the gate in order to draw drain current – typ. + 0,59V on the gate to give 60 mA drain current. If the gate is put to ground potential the current will drop to a few microamperes of leakage current. This is more like biasing ...

... own from two transistors; TR1 can be a low power type, but normally TR2 will need to be high power. The maximum collector current Ic(max) for the pair is the same as Ic(max) for TR2. A Darlington pair is sufficiently sensitive to respond to the small current passed by your skin and it can be used to ...

... The concept of the series regulator is based on the simple voltage divider law that states that the voltage drop across any two series resistors is proportional to the Ohms ratio of the resistors. History of the transistor

A transistor is a semiconductor device with at least three terminals for connection to an electric circuit. The vacuum-tube triode, also called a (thermionic) valve, was the transistor's precursor, introduced in 1907.
