Reducing Switching Capacitance Using Buffers
Reducing Switching Capacitance Using Buffers

... A buffer inserted behind this transistor would decrease the fanout to 1 and reduces the load capacitance the transistor has to drive. The buffer contains back to back inverters with steadily increasing transistor sizes. The extra large driving transistors in the buffer have a lower charging resistan ...

... In order to make the operation mimic in-vehicular conditions more closely, the cable length between the supply and the device was increased from about 30 cm to about 1.5 m. These longer wires, typically routed from the 12-V battery to the device, created more inductance. Further more, the soft powe ...

... When in the bootstrapped mode with a transformer (Figure 5), the circuit is protected against most output short-circuit faults when the tertiary voltage drops below +10V, causing the UVLO to turn off the gate drive of the external MOSFET. This re-initiates a startup sequence with soft-start. When th ...

History of electric power transmission

The history of the technology of moving electricity far from where it was generated dates from the late 19th century. This includes movement of electricity in bulk (formally referred to as ""transmission""), and the delivery of electricity (""distribution"") to individual customers. The distinction between the two terms did not exist in early years and were used interchangeably.
