Electromagnetic brake From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Jump

... Within this, there are two factors to consider. The first one is the amount of ampere turns in a coil, which will determine the strength of a magnetic field. The second one is air gap, which is the space between the armature and the coil shell. Magnetic lines of flux diminish quickly in the air. The ...

... best fitting transistor for the application. To limit the higher number of components the use of resistor-equipped transistors (RETs, PDTC-, PDTD-series) is recommended. These are standard transistors with built-in resistors making external resistors R1 and R2 obsolete. If the current to be switched ...

... Assuming a compact system, the distances could be set to d’2 = d2 and d’1 = 2d2 - d1 as also has been done for region R3.In Figure 8b a plot of the simulated electric flux lines between the secondary winding and the tank is shown. There, it could be seen that especially at the upper and the lower en ...

... What is a surge? Conclusion The ITU (Telecommunications) only classifies an electrical disturbance as a surge when the amplitude is an overvoltage or overcurrent or both. The surge is not defined in terms of waveshape or duration. The IEEE is more pedantic on the waveshape and timings without defin ...

Stepper motor

A stepper motor or step motor or stepping motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps. The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps without any feedback sensor (an open-loop controller), as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application in respect to torque and speed.Switched reluctance motors are very large stepping motors with a reduced pole count, and generally are closed-loop commutated.
