Technical Information Relay Classification Electromechanical Relays
Technical Information Relay Classification Electromechanical Relays

... The moving loop design has similarities with polarized relays; however, the following two features make for a large performance distinction. A permanent magnet is placed in the vicinity of the “working gaps.” The flux energy of this permanent magnet complements that of the electrical coil. This incr ...

... short run of house wiring, the spot reading test is all that is necessary. However, most equipment is capacitive and so your very first spot reading on equipment in your plant, with no prior tests, can be only a rough guide as to how good or bad the insulation is. ... Remember the purpose of biasing is to set a point of operation (Q-point). In a self-biasing type JFET circuit the Q-point is determined by the given parameters of the JFET itself and values of RS and RD. Setting it at midpoint on the drain curve is most common. One thing not mentioned in the discuss ...

Stepper motor

A stepper motor or step motor or stepping motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps. The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps without any feedback sensor (an open-loop controller), as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application in respect to torque and speed.Switched reluctance motors are very large stepping motors with a reduced pole count, and generally are closed-loop commutated.
