... vary from 0.3 to 0.5 and increase towards unity as the motor accelerates and its KVA demand drops. With a 0.4 power-factor load, a typical genset is capable of producing nearly twice its continuous-rated KVA for the time required to accelerate a motor to the speed at which its KVA requirement drops ...

... to convert higher system rail voltages to low voltages at close proximity to the load. This allows for lower conduction loss through the system rails since currents will be significantly lower than the device load current. Thus, DC-DC “step-down” converters are required for this application. As impl ...

... Also, these devices have user-selectable gains. Two logic inputs select the gain of the temperature-to-voltage output transfer function (see above). In the lowest gain configuration, the LM94021 and LM94022 can operate with a 1.5V supply while measuring temperature from -50°C to +150°C. The gain-sel ...

Stray voltage

Stray voltage is the occurrence of electrical potential between two objects that ideally should not have any voltage difference between them. Small voltages often exist between two grounded objects in separate locations, due to normal current flow in the power system. Large voltages can appear on the enclosures of electrical equipment due to a fault in the electrical power system, such as a failure of insulation.
