Why a Charge Controller?
Why a Charge Controller?

... If you have batteries in your system, you'll almost surely need a charge controller to prolong battery life. The only exceptions are very small systems using PV panels of 5 watts or less. Charge controllers sense the battery state of charge by monitoring its voltage. Lead-acid batteries gradually ri ...

... Its current is the time rate of change of its voltage * its capacitance. Rewrite the equation to solve for what we want. This equation is true at t=0, so replace t with 0 in these cases. If we can find ic(0), we’ll know dvc(0) / dt. ic(0) needs to be defined according to passive sign convention. Not ...

Stray voltage

Stray voltage is the occurrence of electrical potential between two objects that ideally should not have any voltage difference between them. Small voltages often exist between two grounded objects in separate locations, due to normal current flow in the power system. Large voltages can appear on the enclosures of electrical equipment due to a fault in the electrical power system, such as a failure of insulation.
