Fabrication of Cube Beamsplitters for White Light Interferometry

... fabrication errors on a plane wave passing through the beamsplitter can be modeled as a series of these thin elements placed in the optical path of both the transmitted and reflected beams of an ideally perfect beamsplitter. ...

Their initial limitation concerning speed, polarization sensitivity, retardance range, and diffraction effect reduced their expansion. However they have been overcome nowadays by using different approaches. For example, polarizati ...

Thus, as BEC in 3D has the properties of a second order phase transition, in studying it in presence of a magnetic eld, the strong criterium cannot be applied; no critical temperature separating phases of di erent symmetry exists, and that was con rmed in many of the results of references [2]- [6]. ...

Magnetic circular dichroism

Magnetic circular dichroism (MCD) is the differential absorption of left and right circularly polarized (LCP and RCP) light, induced in a sample by a strong magnetic field oriented parallel to the direction of light propagation. MCD measurements can detect transitions which are too weak to be seen in conventional optical absorption spectra; they can also probe paramagnetic properties and the symmetry of the electronic levels of the studied systems, such as metal ion sites.
